2026 BOARD CANDIDATE

Dr. Leroy McLean

I am seeking reelection to the Redmond Ridge Association Board because I care deeply about our community and want to continue contributing in a visible, constructive, and accountable way.

As a current Board member, I have been actively involved in supporting important changes and improvements for Redmond Ridge. I led the effort to use the reserve study to identify Association assets needing attention and to develop an objective scoring method for prioritizing those needs. This work has helped the Board make more informed decisions about capital projects and active initiatives, including asphalt work, mailbox replacements, and mulch improvements.

There is still important work ahead. I believe we must continue improving and maintaining the assets that make Redmond Ridge a desirable place to live, including our parks, common areas, and community center. At the same time, we must remain fiscally responsible, prioritize projects thoughtfully, manage reserves carefully, and communicate clearly with homeowners about decisions, costs, and progress.

My background in consulting, team leadership, nonprofit work, process engineering, program and project management, stakeholder management, and technology helps me approach Board service in a practical and collaborative way. I hold a doctorate in Leadership and Innovation and have experience leading complex initiatives, improving processes, building consensus among stakeholders, and using data and technology to support sound decision-making.

If reelected, I will continue to advocate for transparency, responsible financial stewardship, proactive planning, and meaningful homeowner engagement. I believe Board members should be accessible, prepared, willing to listen, and focused on delivering results—not operating in the shadows.

As long as I live in Redmond Ridge, I want to participate in helping shape its future. I respectfully ask for your vote so I can continue serving our community and helping ensure Redmond Ridge remains a well-maintained, financially responsible, and welcoming place to call home.

Redmond Ridge original homeowner, since 2002. My husband and I have lived, worked, and recreated in Redmond/Redmond Ridge for many years, we raised our two children in our current home. My experience in local government, City of Redmond for 13 years (Parks and Recreation) and the City of Snoqualmie for 8 years (community engagement) has provided me the opportunity to communicate, connect, and understand how to navigate local and county government. I served on PTSA boards at Rosa Parks, Evergreen, and Redmond High. I currently serve on Redmond Ridge ROA Beautification Committee, and briefly served on the board from January – March 2025. I have been committed and involved since that time, supporting and working to protect our community, its resources, and to rebuild our community after a difficult 2025.

Dear Neighbors,

I’m asking for your vote to continue serving on our HOA Board of Directors.

My wife, son, and I have called this community home for 20 years. We love living here, and we’re grateful to the previous boards whose work made this one of the most sought-after neighborhoods in the area. I want to help make sure our community continues to set a great standard, and serving on the board is one of the best ways I can do that.

I joined the board in January 2026 as a member-at-large and stepped into the role of Vice President mid-year. It has been a privilege to serve this community, and I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished together.

Strengthening our financial foundation.
Working alongside our Secretary, I helped get a clear handle on the association’s bank accounts and confirmed that the board had proper access and signing authority on each one. That groundwork gave our Treasurer a complete picture of our finances and the ability to manage them with confidence.

Improving accountability and transparency.
Along with the full board, I pushed our management team to deliver monthly reporting, with a particular focus on assessment delinquencies and community center rentals. These are critical revenue streams, and regular data means the board can spot problems early and make informed decisions rather than react after the fact.

Getting real value for our dollars.
Together with my fellow board members, I helped resolve a long-running IT contract that we were paying for but not using, and we ended that relationship. We then ran a rigorous request-for-proposal process to select a new IT vendor, and the association now has a solid, reliable footing for its technology needs.

Bringing an independent voice.
I believe a board works best when every decision gets a hard look. As one fellow board member put it, my role has been “asking the really hard questions and not bending to group think,” bringing a clear, unbiased perspective that pushed the board to seriously consider difficult viewpoints. I’ll continue to do that on your behalf.

Looking ahead to 2027, I would like to see us continue the improvements already underway, including community maintenance and other long-standing projects, while taking a careful look at the service and value we receive from our management company and other vendors. We should continue strengthening financial oversight, improving transparency, and making sure homeowners have meaningful opportunities to understand and participate in issues that affect our community.

I’m committed to a board that is transparent, responsive, and focused on protecting your investment and keeping our neighborhood a great place to live. I would be grateful for your support, and I always welcome your questions and ideas. Please feel free to reach out at satish.kaushik@gmail.com or (425)241-7130.

2026 BOARD CANDIDATE

Sushma Hegde

Dear Neighbors,

I’m running for re-election to the Redmond Ridge ROA Board because I want to finish building something this community can rely on for years to come: a real engagement strategy, not just better announcements.

I’ve lived in Redmond Ridge for three years, and what I love most is the people. Our community is wonderfully diverse, with neighbors from many backgrounds, cultures, and stages of life. I also love the trails and green spaces, and the way neighbors come together for community events. It’s a place worth investing in.

I currently serve as Communication Liaison, and earlier in my term I served as Treasurer before handing that role over. In the communications role, I’ve focused on updating how the ROA reaches residents and on looking at the bigger picture. Communication is only one piece of how a community stays connected. The larger goal is making it easy for every resident to stay informed, take part, and be heard, whether they have five minutes a month or five hours.

If elected, I will continue that work with an emphasis on lasting structure. Boards change, volunteers move on, and good ideas get lost in the transition. I want to set up the framework, channels, and practices that future Board members and residents can run with, so that engagement doesn’t depend on any one person or any one board.

About me. I’m a Senior Technical Program Manager at Microsoft, where I lead complex, cross-team work and build systems that stay useful long after launch. I’m also co-owner of Shri Cafe in Kirkland, where I manage operations and finances, so I know what it takes to run an organization responsibly with limited resources. I’ve also mentored product managers throughout my career, and I bring that same approach to the Board: listening first, sharing what I know, and helping others succeed.

Redmond Ridge is at its best when residents feel it belongs to them. I would be grateful for your vote, and I welcome your ideas on how we can all stay better connected.

Thank you,
Sushma

2026 BOARD CANDIDATE

Tomasz Janczuk

I have been serving as a board member and treasurer of the Redmond Ridge ROA since April 2026. My family and I have lived in Redmond Ridge for the past 22 years, and it is time to give back.

I spent 25 years wearing different hats in the software industry. I co-founded and led a software startup, served as an early employee and board observer at a $6B software company, and worked as an engineer, leader, and manager at Microsoft and Hewlett-Packard. I have an MS degree in Software Engineering and an MBA. All this is a long way of saying I am an engineer at heart – I like solving problems and data-driven decision-making.

Over the past 22 years, this community has become our home. Our daughters were born here, we formed friendships, and memories of key milestones in our lives. I want to ensure Redmond Ridge remains a great place for everyone to live.
