Redmond Ridge ROA Committees
The Redmond Ridge Residential Owners Association is looking for a few good volunteers! If you are interested in volunteering for any of the committees or if you have questions about the descriptions please contact Chanel Merritt at communications@redmondridgeroa.com.
In addition to the ongoing committees listed below, the ROA sometimes requires the formation of Ad-Hoc or temporary committees to tackle specific tasks. To learn more about Ad-Hoc committees, email Sandy Cobb at managemenent@redmondridgeroa.com.

Beautification Committee
The Beautification committee meets once a month to coordinates community planting days, seminars, events and plant salvages. The Beautification committee also manages the monthly Litter Walks.
The Beautification Committee meets the 2nd Tuesday of the month.
Litter Walks: The monthly walks bring together Redmond Ridge residents who care about the environment and cleanliness of the neighborhood. Volunteers typically meet on the third Sunday of each month at 3:00 PM, at the Park & Ride near Rosa Parks Elementary, rain or shine (read the weekly email bulletins for meeting updates). In addition to meeting new friends and helping keep the community beautiful, volunteers receive gift cards.
Events Committee
The Events Committee is responsible for developing and administering ongoing community events to promote the neighborhood connection between the ROA and individual resident. The Events Committee works closely with the ROA Staff and other neighborhood entities in this effort. Finance Committee
Every February, the Finance Committee meets to track the numbers for the current year. Each month the committee receives a copy of a financial report prepared by the management company. They use it to compare actual costs to what was budgeted. The numbers are tracked through June to develop a cost for the first six months of the year. Then the research begins on the numbers for the next year. All utilities are contacted for potential increases, contracts are reviewed for possible reductions, and current and past year’s expenses are analyzed.
With this data, the Finance Committee projects next year’s costs and provides summary information by line item. The budget will go through several drafts before the final one is mailed to the homeowners. In addition, the Finance Committee is responsible for investigating and making recommendations on the Association’s reserves investment policy to the Board. The Finance Committee typically meets the 2nd Tuesday of the month.
Ad-Hoc Parks and Playgrounds Committee
The responsibilities of the Parks and Playgrounds Committee includes: proposing new playground equipment for parks per the Reserve Study and the Board of Directors, completing playground and park inspection sheets on a monthly basis and providing the completed reports to the ROA office and Board.
Governing Documents Committee
Within the guidelines established in the CC&Rs, the Governing Documents Review committee will be responsible for: adhering to the rules and regulations set forth in the governing documents and the King County UPD, treating all requests without bias or prejudice, reviewing the governing documents including, but not necessarily limited to, CC&Rs, Bylaws, Architectural and Non-Architectural Rules as well as Resolutions and Policies of the Board. This Committee shall make recommendations to the Board of Directors as required to keep those documents complete and consistent with each other. It will ensure that protective restrictions are in effect which will help maintain the appearance and value of their property.

Ad-Hoc – Communication Committee
The primary responsibility of the AD-HOC Communication Committee is to keep the Redmond Ridge community informed by working together with the HOA Board, management, and staff, to inform, engage, and educate residents and other interested parties regarding issues important to their understanding of, and participation in, the neighborhood. Members of the Communications Committee endeavor to ensure that HOA communications increase resident awareness of neighborhood news and events, as well as inform them of the needs and benefits of living in this community. Our commitment is to build a sense of community by fostering two-way communication, while at the same time presenting accurate information in a timely and convenient manner.
The AD-HOC Communications Committee will request articles and input from other committees and the public to inform residents about the Association, its structure, role, objectives and any other items of relevance to the community.
