Roundabout Construction on Redmond Ridge Drive

published: September 15th, 2023 by in Uncategorized

Message from King County: King County Roads has begun construction on a roundabout at the intersection of Redmond Ridge Drive NE and NE Alder Crest Drive. Construction is expected to last through fall 2023.

What is the traffic impact?

For the first two months of the project, the intersection will have lane restrictions and will be controlled by flaggers on weekdays during work hours. There will be a full closure of the intersection for up to 14 days in a row. We anticipate the closure to start in late October.

Slight delays through the workzone are expected during lane restrictions. During the full closure in October, all traffic, will need to take the detour. This roundabout will look similar to the roundabout just south of the project at NE Cedar Park Crescent and Redmond Ridge Drive NE.

Building a roundabout now will help with traffic, prevent speeding, and make the intersection safer for school students and those walking or rolling to and from the local park and athletic fields.

Project timeline

  • September 2023 – Construction begins
  • Late October to early November – 14-day full closure
  • Late Fall 2023 – Construction complete
